lack of entries this past week. i've been pretty lazy and tired these days. also i'm still dilly dallying with dreamweaver and have a couple of entries there, but haven't learned how to post them yet. so sorry for the delay. both my friends ty and dave have attempted to help me, but it's kinda confusing when they're trying to explain over im. :/ i can't post yet anyways... there's no calendar up yet, there's no intro page... still under lots of construction.

this past weekend was my boss's wedding. oh my it was such a wonderful event. i sort of wish that we skipped the ceremony in the afternoon and just head over to the rincon for the banquet. the ceremony was very long, a catholic mass/marriage. the priest was not only marrying the couple, but preaching to us, which i thought was quite odd. after the bridal party, flower girls, ring bearer, bride and groom walked in, the bridal party and kids sat in the first aisles and rob and rose sat up on the little stage where there were chairs set up for them. the priest then preached to us for about 20 minutes, then the choir sang, there were a bunch of prayers, more singing, communion, and more prayers. i'm suprised that there wasn't money plate being passed around! oh, i'm so bad.
anyways, when finally the bride and groom kissed, it was 1pm (the ceremony began at 12) and then we all went outside for the release of the doves. don't get me wrong, the ceremony was beautiful, the church was huge and beautifully decorated. it was just very catholicy, and it was very new to me. we got home around 2 and relaxed for a couple of hours before heading over to the reception. we spent the night prior in san jose at peg's parent's house helping her prep for ashlyn's party (which i missed, boohoo! i heard that it was soo much fun. *pout*) so we didn't get a lot of sleep on friday night and made up for it in the afternoon. parkin and i napped for over and hour and woke up then rushed over to the reception.
the banquet ... woooweee, it was AMAZING!!! the rincon center... i cannot wait to have our reception there. the ambiance, the glow, the beauty of the area, it was breathtaking. now this could be because the bride and groom had the money to spend to make it extra nice. they had a band, several ice sculptures, chair covers, colored linens, an open bar. these, which i know because i've looked over the contracts, costs oodles and oodles extra. everything just looked so classy. i can't wait because even tho parkin and i won't have the money to spend on the 'extras' i know that it will look just as warm and wondeful. unfortunately i can't steal too many of the ideas from this wedding because we have similar friends. haha. but the odd thing is, that they ended having a lot of the things that i already had planned for our wedding, so i hope next year they don't think i stole them. they were already in my head for months before!
dinner was to begin at 6, but of course it started late. in actuality, it didnt' begin until 7:30 and there were so many things going on during dinner, lion dancing, video, and speeches. all of a sudden it was already 10pm and rob and rose were having their first dance.
the food was really yummy and they served the menu that parkin and i had choosen for next year! so we got to taste test our future menu then and there. coolio. ;) 2 glasses of wine and 2 shots of henessey (*bleh*) later, it was already 11:30pm! i thought that we were going to be done earlier so that we could go down to san jose and hang out, but it was too late. *darnit* we got home after midnight, plopped in front of the tv and i fell into a deep sleep.
so much more to say, too lazy to write. more to come in the following days. ;)
