today was the continuation of photo day, but inside the studio. we went to NOEL CHU on kimberly street, and once again, the girls working were wondering what we were doing there. haha. no communication i tell ya. ah choong came by and picked up up, we hailed a cab and got to the studio around noon where ming started my makeup. she was really sick today, and complained about it all day, crinkling her brow and telling everyone that she hopes that she doesn't get a fever. oddly enough, she turned on the ac. *raise eyebrow* it wasn't even hot in there. well, once again, she made me super pale with makeup. luckily she remembered to put non pink lipstick on my lips. i had brought lipstick too, just in case. for the first outfit, we were wore our own clothes for a casual shoot. i had jeans and a sleeves shirt on. parkin wore some khaki's and stripped shirt. ming put my hair in a little tie in the back and let me wear her sunglasses in my hair for the very casual look. haha. we went into the studio and choong and guhm started on us. oh, did i mention how much these guys loved parkin? parkin's chinese is A LOT better than mine, so he was able to conversate with everyone pretty well. they were also intrigued with parkin's size. parkin's not fat, but compared to these boys, i mean, c'mon, hong kong boys are skinnier than me. they compared his body type to enimem's body. haha, weird. they kept asking jung if he worked out or took supplements. anyways, we got started and it was so much better than outdoor shot day. ah guhm is the photographer and choong is his assistant. they both knew exactly what they wanted and what they wanted us to do. choong would pose us, he actually showed us exactly what he wanted us to do. if it was me standing next to parkin with my arm on his shoulder, he'd put his arm on parkin's shoulder and tell me to imitate him. then guhm would fine tune my pose before shooting. they made us both feel very comfortable. maybe a little too comfortable. well you know how i mentioned that they loved parkin and were very intrigued by his body size? after taking some shots, they told him to take off his shirt! :-o luckily he had his wife beater on... but then after telling him to do some cool muscle pose shots, they told him to take his wife beater off! :-O then they told him to pull his boxers up and push his pants down! and he totally complied! my man is so secure. i was off to the side watching cuz they were focusing on him, but i was thinking in my head, they're taking advantage of you honey!!! haha. i imagine they kept some of those pictures for themselves. now you might think that they are kinda ghey, (haha, that's a sonny word) but i think that honger boys are just more open about stuff like that. they're more outright, and i guess as long as parkin's ok with it, it's fine. watch, parkin will be on the cover of some hk porn magazine someday. hahaa! so after the casual shots, we changed into another outfit. i had a red dress on and parkin a greyish coat suit. i even got to wear a neat little hair piece that totally looked real in the pics. guhm and choong showed us some techniques to hide extra chub in parkin's chin and my arms. hehe. after some time, we changed to our final outfits, another wedding gown for me and another tux for jung. ming put a really cool hair thing on my head along with a veil. tho i was still unhappy with how white my face was, i was really stoked about my hair that day. |

<< choong, luey, guhm, and parkin after our photoshoot. it was so much fun being pictured by these guys. plus ah luey was adorable. we SO wished that they had taken our outdoor shots. i'm sure they would have turned out so much better. after picture day, we planned to meet my friend ben for dinner. ben is my hong kong friend. whenever i go to hk, i call him up and stay with him for a few days. ben was actually out of town for business when we arrived and got back to hk on sunday. he is a graphics designer at nike, originally from vancouver, moved out to hk to work. he's a super cool guy and it's always a blast meeting up with him. i couldn't wait for parkin to meet him. we met up with ben at nike and he took us to a yummy chinese restaurant, then we had dessert nearby. afterwards, ben, being a bit jetlagged called it a night as parkin and i head out to ladies street for some nightmarket fun. since i was feeling so much better, we walked around longer and later than we'd stayed up in previous nights. i was just at the end of my cold, with an old man cough. you know the type, when you cough, you think it's gonna end, but it's a long cough with some wheezing at the end. ppl stared at me whenever i coughed like i was gonna hack a lung out. after walking around for a couple of hours, we decided to walk towards our hotel to take in some sights. on the way, we saw this cute little restuarant that was making fresh churng fun. it looked so yummy we had to go in. we ordered a beef roll, ja lerng, a bowl of jook, and a cup of soybean milk. YUM! it was so fresh and good. that was one of my favorite snacks along with the fresh fruit juices out there. my favorite juice being the fresh watermelon juice along the streets for less than a dollar a cup. or the fresh mango tapioca slushes. *licking lips* parkin mentioned one night that he wasn't drinking enough water during the trip. i said, there's no way i'm gonna have water when i can have these fresh juices here that are so good. and cheap! man, i miss hong kong. |
