i think i'm sick. it's not bad, but annoying. my nose is dripping and i've got stomach cramps. that's pretty much it tho. the nose drip, sometimes i don't feel it coming down til it's halfway to my upper lip. the stomach cramps come without warnings and i have to run to the toilet. sucks if it happens while i'm driving. *knocks on wood* last night was cake tasting with sugar bowl bakery. i was a bit apprehensive because i'd never known anyone who used them before for a wedding cake, but florist dave (the guy we interviewed a couple of weeks ago) suggested them. also selina had gone to a tasting with them a couple of years ago and said that the buttercream was yucky. in fact, the cake, fillers and spread were all quite tasty and within our budget. the apricot-cream and marble cake (chocolate mousse spread between a layer of white cake and chocolate cake) being our two favorites. the only bad thing is that they don't have the equipment to stack the cake the way we'd like. they would have to purchase stands for us, if she finds them, and charge us for them. :/ we have another tasting tonight with butterfly cakes. (thanks evain!) i know that they would have no problem with our imagined cake design, but they are a bit pricier. we'll see if it's worth it. i think there is one more place that my cousin jana recommended too. i'll have to look into that one as well. it was so funny, as soon as we sat down, parkin's stomach growled angrily. he was starving. it was almost 6pm and he hadn't eaten since lunch. yes, not too long ago, but parkin's a snacker, and yesterday, he missed his 3pm snack due to back to back meetings. sandy was talking through it but even as she finished her sentence, parkin's stomach was still going! he laughed nervously, apologized and sank into his chair. it happened again, then sandy said, "oh my. you better start eating some cake!" she was really sweet bout the whole thing, served us 5 mini cakes, even packed the leftovers in a box for us to take home. :) dana's coming over tonight, so we'll have her taste and opinion as well. after the tasting, we called L&L's for a pick up order. they opened a couple of weeks ago in daly city next close to jollibee's, and we've been there twice already. it is so yummy there, their mac salad is the best. i got the bbq beef plate with no rice. mmmm.... parkin got the mixed bbq plate. yum. i think i'll try the loco moco next time. dina: we'll definately have to meet there for some grub! anybody watch buffy last night? YOOOOWZA! freaky! scary! and i have to wait til next year for the continuing episode? *shakes fist* damn you upn! 24 was a good episode too... the end being the most exciting. i am so annoyed with jack's daughter kim. she stooopid. i finally caught an episode of this season's osbournes. i LOVE that show. i was reading a magazine in the... well, bathroom, earlier today and found this cute article: NIGHT MOVES what do sleep positions say about your relationship? samuel dunkell, md, a new york sleep clinician, lifts the sheets. )) SPOON this indicates that youre close physically and emotionally. the person facing the other's back is the nurturer of the pair. )( BACK TO BACK you and your partner are self-absorbed and used to getting attention. you have trouble compromising with each other. ( ) PARENTHESES youre both nice, aim to please people. keeping your intended in your field of vision indicates you think the world of him. () SNUGGLE he's on his back, his arm around your shoulder; your arms are around his waist. he's selfish and you're overly adoring. parkin and i are usually in the spooning position... until it gets too hot under our sheets. *wink wink honk honk* j/k. :) our duvet is so warm that we've been sweating like pigs every night these past couple of weeks. we cuddle for awhile then retreat to each our own sides of the huge bed, parkin usually going on his stomach and me curled in a little ball by the edge of the bed, neither of us touching. have you checked out my hong kong journal and pictures yet? they're long and boring at times, but time consuming if you've got nothing better to do! let me know what you think! ~ |
