oh, mirror in the sky
what is love
can the child within my heart rise above
can i sail thru the changing ocean tides
can i handle the seasons of my life

maybe cake tasting at butterfly cakes wasn't the greatest idea yesterday.  it was so good and sonya the owner was so great, it's going to be hard to resist!  it's like the tastings and meetings get better as we meet with new vendors!  talking with sonya, i was able to envision what our cake was going to look like, how it would look on the presentation table with flowers,  (she drew a picture, with color!) and it looked so pretty.  the bad thing?  cost.  it's a bit more than we had planned... everything costs more than we anticipate.  it would look spectacular and taste heavenly, but i'm not sure if we can afford it.  the best thing about it tho, and why we need to decide soon is that if we do decide to go with her and order in the next two weeks, we get a free anniversary cake!  none of that frozen cake top from a year ago, but a free cake just like the one we have on our wedding day, one that is fresh and moist to eat on may 10, 2004.  decisions, decisions.

after the tasting, dana came over for dinner.  i made cornish hens, parmesan/garlic rice and canned corn. :p  it was yummy!  i hadn't made the little birds in ages, and wasn't sure how they'd turn out.  was afraid of overcooking, but they came out perfect, flavorful, and moist!  mmm...
dana brought some swatches of cloth from her last trip to china which was last week.  i did mention she was a flight attendant right?  anyways, i'm considering getting the bridesmaids dresses made at the tailor where i got my chinese dress made.  there are lots to consider tho so we were talking about it last night.  unfortunately the colors were right, but the material wasn't.  it was very thin where as i'm looking for a thicker satin.  i'll have to ask my cousin where she got the material for her bridesmaid dresses because i really liked her fabric.  sooo, more updates at a later time on that.

dana needed to go to the mall to get some last minute gifts.  she's leaving yet again, for another trip today, so parkin and i accompanied her to serramonte where she had some coupons to use at bath and body works.  i can not believe how many kids were out there, at 10pm!  shouldn't they be tucked away in bed?  dayam.  by the time we got home, it was almost 11pm, bedtime for me, so i washed up and got into bed.  it was sooo cold, i was shivering until parkin came to bed and held me.  my own personal heating blanket.

kat emailed me and asked me to post some wedding updates.  i realize that i haven't done that for quite some time, but there's not much to tell as of this month.  just been going to meet vendors, calling around, and cake tasting, but that's pretty much it.  nothing definate, no new contracts signed yet.  still lots to do, and i'm sure it'll be topic of entries in the next couple of months.
bear with me girl, they're coming!

wasn't raining at all this morning, but the chill was in the air.  it's pouring now, sounds really nice, but i'm glad to be (kinda) warm in the office with gloves on and a scarf around my head and neck.  i was going to run errands for work, but i dont' think i' want to leave the office.  if i do, i won't want to come back.   i've already read thru my daily reads, i guess i'll do some work now.  hehe.

stay warm y'all
