weekend update friday night was a blast! parkin and i hosted a white elephant holiday party, so as soon as i got home, i started food preperations. as soon as that was done, i cleaned the house as parkin shaved his head. as soon as he was cleaned up, we moved the furniture around and i finished wrapping and decorating. at 6:45, our first guests arrived! the rest of the evening was a blur, but a lot of fun filled with friends and a whole lotta food! the gift exchange was a hoot and we were all amazed with what people got for only $10! lots of fun was had that night. after most left, dana and ye stayed longer to watch a dvd that parkin rented, sorority boys. as soon as they left, parkin and i cleaned up some more then went to bed. we were poooooped! saturday started very late. i had such a good deep sleep, i didn't even wake up to pee until 11 am. unfortunately i missed my saturday morning cartoons, boo, and ended up staying in bed a little longer before joining parkin in the livingroom. made a plate of leftovers for lunch then watched unfaithful on tape. dana came over in the evening so the 3 of us could carpool over to the rincon center for our tasting. parkin's parents, my parents, dana, selina, my brother, parkin and i enjoyed a yummy 10 course dinner... parkin and my wedding banquet menu. it was soo good! we thoroughly enjoyed it. there was actually a wedding taking place that evening in the atrium too, so our families could see the setting of the center, which was amazing. it was early still, so the 3 of us head over to roy's for some drinks. the chefs also prepared some appetizer dishes for us, and even tho we were stuffed already, we were able to stuff a few more bites of food into our bellies. as we finished up, we agreed to meet back at parkin's house to play some mah jong. we only played east and south wind rounds before it was 4am, and we had to stop. funny thing was that when we had decided that the game would end as soon as i lost the dice, i won 6 games in a row. it was hilarious. the funniest part being that with my crappy hand, i could only do so much, so i decided to play a chicken hand and the only way i could win was to pick my own card. the tile was just tossed by dana, and i couldn't take it because we were not playing chicken hands. then as i flipped my picked tile, it was the north wind tile, exactly what i needed to win. it was freaky, but very cool at the same time. swear i had mj powers or something. hehe. if it wasn't for parkin's ruby dragon hand (hand must have pongs or kongs of CHARACTERS only and a pong of red dragon, or red middle in chinese), i would have come our winner #1. i still came out winning 75 chips tho. yay for me. so we went to bed at around 4 something am, and didn't get outta bed on sunday until noon again. at least i did. parkin fell back asleep until almost 4pm. i had gotten up to make another plate of leftovers for a late lunch. i went to wake up parkin and we watched movies and relaxed for the remainder of the sunday. oh and we also caught the reshowing of wb's lord of the rings: the two towers special. very cool. then on e! before we went to bed, they showed the story of charlie's angels and we watched that to sleep. what a lazy lazy sunday. weekend pictures. enjoy! ~ |
