new years eve
today was a very chill day.  what's planned for the evening?  not sure yet.  we haven't made plans, but it's definately going to be low key.

i didn't have to work today, so i was lucky enough to sleep in.  parkin had to tho, so i had a nice day hanging out with myself.  after moving the car in the freezing cold at 7:58 this morning (street cleaning) i slept for another couple of hours.  i met my parents and brother in south san francisco for some dim sum for lunch.  huge har gows man, good stuff.  afterwards, i went to hollywood video to return some movies.  i stopped off at home in millbrae to take care of some business, ran into a friend at the post office, then stopped off at mills-peninsula hospital to see if there were any job openings there.  nothing clerical, mostly er and vocational nurse positions.  darn.  next i went to speedee oil to see if a friend was working.  i was due in to get an oil change and he told me to come by, say hi, and change some oil.  unfortunately they were closed today so i went back onto the freeway and went to stonestown shopping center to return some gifts that i did not end up giving for xmas.  (this is a pretty boring read... i'd be shocked if you were still here.)  oh, i also got a new pair of boots at nine west.  they had a boot sale going on and i had a coupon for 10 bucks off in december.  there was also a bra sale at victoria's secret, but i'm going to wait.  a friend of mine said she got me a gift certificate there for my bday (
thanks J!) so i'll wait for that before i buy.

parkin and i were talking last night, and we've realized how much we still need to do for the wedding.
so much.  i think that the next couple of weekends will be groolish.  there are so many things on my mind as of now in regards to what we need to do.  i've been taking things day by day, but i really need to take em hour by hour.  i need to be more on top of things.  we're lagging, and i don't like that that has happened.  the next four months will fly by, and i want to make sure that i don't stress over anything in the last month.  plans need to be made, appointments need to be set, and contracts need to be signed.  i'm not stressing yet.  i'm still enjoying the process.  i just need to organize my thoughts.

parkin's parents have given him a semi finished guest list... and it's huge.  i knew that we would have a big wedding, but i thought that after we singled out people and names were dropped, that it would be smaller.  the guestlist has exceeded my expectations and then some.  even if 15% of the guests say no and do not come, it's still a whole lotta people coming to the reception.  the atrium is going to be squishier than i thought.  maybe no lion dancing then... *sigh*  oh well.  it's a good thing we ordered more than enough wedding favors. :)

i've been trying to get a hold of this guy who we had hoped would dj our wedding.  unfortunately he can't, but i've been emailing him to see who he can refer, and he has yet to respond.  :/  sucks yo.  i don't want to bother him because i know he's busy but i don't know who else to ask.
any suggestions?  any info would be much appreciated.

time for dinner!
i hope that everyone has a great new years.  please, please be safe out there.
enjoy yourselves... 2002 is almost over and 2003 is gonna be awesome!
be good y'all!
