| Knox County is served by the Knox County E.M.S., which covers all of Knox County, including the Corbin area, as well as providing emergency assistance to nearby agencies upon request. Knox E.M.S. offers the only area speciality search and rescue, and special operations team. Knox County S.O.R.T. team is made up of volunteers from the Ambulance service, as well as law enforcemant, and fire departments, and is used for search and rescue, and in times of inclement weather for location and transportation of supplies and those needing medical attention. |
