My Love For You

Son, I am so proud of you;
you set my world apart.
And from the day that you were born
your love has filled my heart.

Nothing in life can change my mind;
this love I have for you.
For surely you must know by now
a mother's love is true.

There's nothing to seek, nothing to prove;
my love will always be there for you.
You hold a place so deep in my heart
and you'll always remain there too.

I want you to know I count my blessing's
and how thankful I am for them.
So son, I hope you really will see
you're a gift sent down by Him.

And though my love for you is great;
no greater love hath He.
Than the One who gave His life for you
at a place called Calvary.
