This Land of Ours

What has happened in this land of ours;
a land of the free and brave;
Where children shoot children,
and we mourn beside their graves?

Where right is wrong, and wrong is right
it's such a terrible thought,
Oh! rebellious people that we are
look what our hand's have wrought;

A generation of empty children
who know not of His love.
Who only know to hate each other
to push and claw and shove.

A land once founded on God's Holy Word;
a land blessed beyond compare.
Now lie's so empty and desolate;
in need of our Father's care.

What went wrong in this land of ours,
that once stood proud and tall?
Without our God it's a no-man's land;
someday it will surely fall.

So now we need to seek and pray
to our Father from up above.
We ask His help for all of us,
to fill us with His abiding love.

With eye's upon Him and an open heart;
He'll know exactly what to do.
He will change these cold and callous hearts;
if we really want Him to.

Then this land of ours, once held so high;
will be truly blessed and dear.
And our children will learn to laugh and love;
keeping their God's commandment's near.
