Zeal is a monthly or more-than-monthly reading series dedicated to providing a space for innovative poetry outside of the academy. You could here insert your own speech which begins, "In these troubled times..." or "The dangers of the academy are..." or something semantically similar. The readings take place in the living room of my apartment and are always informal affairs. Serious poetry, friends, but you're welcome to get half-shitfaced and applaud humiliatingly loud. Zeal is not exclusive to the Appolinian or the Dionysian, but attempts to embrace both. See you Sunday.
