There is NEVER a cover charge for ZEAL.  Because it's held in an apartment, there's no rent to pay for the space, with the exception of paying off the neighbors to refrain from complaining about the thunderous applause.  But we poor folk.  We pass around the communion basket at ZEAL in order to pay poets!!  What this means, in other words, is that your donations do not contribute to ANYONE's drinking problem. A donation at the reading of $1-5 is warmly suggested, perhaps encouraged, but never forced.  I.e., we will never actually mug you.  If you'd like to support ZEAL by mailing a check to: Brandon Brown 601 Masonic Avenue #4 SF, CA 94117 then you would be the bitchingest person alive.  And even though I doubt anyone is even reading this page, remember, donations makes poets love you, ZEAL love you, and, let's face it, God love you.
