So, Bush has finally decided to slum it, and come to the Land Most Reviled – California. Rumor has it, according to the Los Angeles Times, he is even going to meet “in private” for TWENTY WHOLE MINUTES with Governor Gray Davis to talk about price caps and the rest of the energy pillage that is making everyone at Enron and Exxon wealthy beyond belief, and which is on the verge of wrecking irrevocable damage to the economy of the wealthiest state in the Union.

First of all, why "in private"?  Why does it seem that all of the meetings Bush has are “in private”?  What is he afraid of?  That people will realize he is even more of an illiterate boob than we already think he is?  Or will the truth finally be out of the bag that he is a tyrannical insane maniac?  Or that he really isn't
in charge? Perhaps it would be revealed that the only reason he is here is to make Davis look even worse than he already does.  Davis is a Democrat after all.  Up for reelection next year.  It also certainly doesn't help that Bush is still pissed off that one of his beloved ditto-monkey Republicans, Senator Jim Jeffords, actually grew some cojones, discovered he had a conscience after all, and realized the GOP is no longer the Grand Old Party, but the Geezers On Prozac who have become so drunk with power they are no longer even in the same universe as reality.

California represents one tenth of the economy of the country. You don’t have to be a math wiz to figure out that if one tenth of the economy tanks the rest is not far behind.

I am sure that Bush has no concept of the magnitude of this situation since he has lived in a protected bubble his entire life. He is unlike you or me, in that we are subject to be accountable for our actions. If we max out our credit cards, or don’t show up for work and get fired, we won’t have the rent, and will subsequently be evicted, and be living on the street. Bush has never had such accountability. He has always had the protection of the obscene wealth and power of his family. If he chooses to only work four hours a day, who is to stop him? Even if the entire country goes into the toilet, unemployment and crime reach all time highs, and millions of people are rendered homeless, would he even notice? His donors will all be richer and he will continue to live in his deluded comfortable fantasyland, all the while enjoying the comforts his family’s Nazi-bought wealth can provide.

According to the Los Angeles Times, “On the eve of a showdown meeting on California's power crisis between California Gov. Gray Davis and President Bush, the Bush administration on Monday moved to help ease the crisis. Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham unveiled plans to boost extra transmission capacity in California, which he said would be a "big step" in easing rolling power blackouts.”

What the hell good is that going to do if the wholesale price is 3000 percent more than they were charging a year ago, and more than they are charging the rest of the country?  They attempted to raise the energy rates in Nevada, until Nevada smartly voted against deregulation.  The joke is, California not only uses the lowest per-capita energy of all the western states, but is using almost 10 percent less than we were two years ago.  Hello!?  We were using MORE energy two years ago, yet there was no shortage and no rolling blackouts.  What does that mean?  Simple: If there is no shortage, real or imagined, the Bush/Cheney plan has no call to build more power plants or take us back to the dark ages of nuclear energy.  Who cares if we still don't know what to do with the nuclear waste?  It obviously doesn't matter to them since they won't be alive when it comes time to be dangerously relevant.  They apparently don't care about the ramifications to their children and grandchildren either.  Perhaps they think they'll all have enough money, now that the estate tax has been repealed, that they'll be able to buy their way out of radioactive poisoning.

The Times went on to say, “Davis will ask Bush to impose wholesale electricity price controls and order refunds for overcharged consumers, aides said, but the White House on Monday reiterated Bush's position that such steps would be counterproductive.”  Counterproductive to what, the padding of Enron’s bank account?  Counterproductive to The Final Solution of California, i.e. the destruction of millions of lives and businesses who didn’t vote GOP?  Oh, I know!  Counterproductive to Bush giving the Taliban their $43 million.  That's it.  Why refund California tax payers over $6 billion dollars when he is busy funding one of the worst human rights violators on the planet?

Personally, I don’t think Bush has learned his lesson with Jefford’s defection, and I honestly don’t believe he is here in California to help us in anyway.  I believe he is here to gloat, to continue to punish us, to block any attempt at price caps, and to insure his contributors make as much money as humanly possible before the Democrats finally realize they need to start investigating not only the administration’s rape of America, but why the Federal Regulators have been on vacation in Bermuda.  It only remains to be seen if they have the courage.

Either way, I’m done.  I’m sick of living in a one-bedroom apartment, when for the price I pay in rent I could be paying for a mortgage in Las Vegas.  Besides, there might be more acting work, even though I’ve grown used to that as mere extra income on the side of my endless list of other jobs.

Is there anyone out there who could give a gal a lucrative job in Vegas?  I am quite serious.  Resume and References on legitimate Request.
