Rumba 2002
This year's Rumba Festival showcased the talents of our Sophie Monk and Katie Underwood. Sophie launched her solo career with a 15 minute set. She sang Inside Outside, I Need Somebody, Need You Tonight and Get The Music On. Katie performed with Disco Montego who sang Magic and Beautiful.
Inside Outside Instores
In November 2002 Sophie Monk was on a whirlwind promotional trip in nearly every state where she performed at shopping centres around Australia. She stopped at Warringah Mall (Sydney), Chadstone Shopping Centre (Melbourne), Adelaide City (Adelaide), Westpoint Shopping Centre (Sydney), Perth City (Perth), Queen Street Mall (Brisbane), Robina Mall (Gold Coast) and Grace Bros Midcity (Sydney). At her instores, Expozay Swimwear was modelled before each performance. Sophie, along with dancers Amy and Kylie, performed the Bardot medley (Play It Like That, ASAP, I Need Somebody) and finished by with Inside Outside. Each instore rounded up a descent crowd and Sophie signed cd singles after each performance
Menai Talent Quest
On 20th July 2002 Belinda Chapple was asked to judge a local talent quest at Menai Market Place with her friend Kieron Kulik. She judged the junior and senior shows and between each show she signed autographs for fans who waited in line. |
