Latest News - June 2003 Tiffani At Premiere (06.06.03 @ 6.23pm) Last night, Tiffani Wood turned up to the Charlie's Angels - Full Throttle premiere at Customs Square, Sydney with Goce Treposki. The couple went up the red carpet and were greeted by media. Tiffani will be on MTV's Mad 4 Hits tomorrow as she was interviewed by host Natalie at the premiere. Also Tiffani will be performing at Darwin's Discovery Nightclub over the weekend so if you're in the area, go see Tiffani perform. Tiffani Beauty Directory Interview (02.06.03 @ 9.37pm) Tiffani Wood, singer/songwriter, Ralph covergirl and ex-Bardot babe, agreed to let us follow her around for the day, (and ask a few questions about her beauty regime) to discover just what it’s like to live a day in the life of Australia’s next big pop starlet… We caught up with Tiffani while she was taking a break from recording her debut single. 9am Out of bed, breakfast and into the shower. Tiffani likes to keep her skincare regime simple using Cetaphyl cleanser on her face. 11am While on a break from her busy recording schedule, Tiffani starts her day with a trip to the gym for two hours of cardio and weights. 1pm Lunch is spent at either Tropicana at Potts Point or Café Bondi for a tuna salad or bowl of pasta – (according to Tiffani they make the best salads!). 2pm Back home for a session of brainstorming for film clips, shoots etc. 4.30pm Time for a break and the opportunity to catch up on The Bold and the Beautiful - (well, she is on holidays!). 5pm Break’s over and it’s back to work. Tiffani usually uses this time to work on her song writing, singing practise or recording. 6pm Time to check out the competition! Tiff tunes into MTV or Channel V to catch up on the latest music information and video clips. 8pm Catch up with friends over dinner or attend one of the fabulous product launches or parties around Sydney. BD: How did you first get into singing and dancing (pre-Bardot)? Tiffani: When the Johnny Young Talent School opened in Newcastle I was first in line! I enrolled in both singing and dancing classes – I was 12 years old. BD: In your business, the pressure to look good is immense, how do you keep fit? Tiffani: I never used to have a gruelling workout schedule but with my first solo single to be released soon, I go to the gym when I can and when I can’t get there; working out dance routines is great exercise. I also love going out to R&B and 80s funk clubs to dance the night away. BD: What's in your beauty kit at the moment? Tiffani: It depends which one! I have a heap of different kits but one of my favourites is my Bloom travel kits. They have five different packs that contain every beauty essential for the face, feet, nails, body and one for relaxation. They're great to use while I'm travelling as they don't take up a lot of room in my suitcase. BD: What's your beauty regime? Tiffani: I’m allergic to some fragrances and perfumes so I like to keep my skincare regime fairly basic. I cleanse morning and night with Cetaphyl cleanser and moisturise with a Vitamin E cream or lanolin. I don’t wear much make-up when I’m not working, usually I’ll just apply some Blistex to condition my lips and NIVEA Tinted Moisturiser to even out my skin tone. Oh, and an eye cream is a must - I like Dermalogica the best. A slathering of Palmers Coco Butter as a body moisturiser and I’m ready to go! BD: Who are your favourite stylists? Tiffani: While working with Bardot I came into contact with a lot of great stylists, particularly Brett Chamberlin and Mirella Piscioneri. More recently [on my Ralph shoot] I worked with Kelly Smyth who was just fantastic. I’ve worked with a lot of stylists and I’ve loved them all, basically anyone that can put an outfit together better than me is a god send. BD: What beauty secrets help you through your busy schedule? Tiffani: Get at least eight hours sleep, drink as much water as possible and try to get a facial or peel once a month. BD: Have you ever had a beauty blunder? Tiffani: Yes! I once tried to dye my dark brown hair blonde with a do-it-yourself kit. Needless to say it went drastically WRONG! BD: Who is your beauty icon? Tiffani: Helena Christiansen, I just love her natural aura and beauty. As I was growing up she was the only woman who had green eyes, dark hair and a dress style similar to mine that I could look up to. BD: What's your best beauty tip? Tiffani: Make sure you have a great haircut and colour. I get mine done at Raw salon in Sydney and they do the best job. Being in the industry I’ve realised that ‘the hair maketh the woman’ - you can have the most beautiful face or body, even outfit but if your hair isn’t right it’ll ruin everything. BD: How do you prepare to look your best before a performance? Tiffani: I like to get a facial a week before, I tint and shape my own eyebrows and then find a relaxing place to apply my ‘show face’. I find that if there’s a lot going on around me I get very nervous so relaxation is the key. BD: What's your advice to aspiring young performers who want a career in Pop music? Tiffani: Believe in yourself! The buck stops with you. If you don't believe in you then no one else will!!! Jewels Shine Bright At VIP Night - Sunday Telegraph (01.06.03 @ 8.24pm) It was claws out at 20 paces when rock diva Deni Hines was a VIP guest at an exclusive party also starring pop princess Sophie Monk. "She could be my love child," sneered Deni at the Bvlgari "Dolce Vita" on Friday night with boyfriend, actor Ben Steel. Steel was more diplomatic. "Perhaps we should adopt her," joked the former Home and Away star, who has won a feature film role in Britain. Monk carried on regardless, simpering in a tight red dress - complete with padded butt - in an entertaining tribute to screen idol Marilyn Munroe. |
