Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate (NADP):

A phosphorylated derivative of nicotinamide adenine dinulceotide (NAD), whish function as a hydrogen acceptor in the light stage of photosynthesis and is subsequently involved in the reduction of carbon dioxide in the dark reactions. It is a coenzyme in the reaction involving the oxidation (loss of electrons) of ferrodoxin by NADP reductase. (Allaby, 1998)
