| My 1967 Mustang Coupe: | ||||||||||||||||||||
| This is my 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. It used to be a vinyl top, but the previous owner had it removed and transformed it into a coupe by painting the top and removing the bolt marks and holes. It has a 289 V8 inside. It's believed to be the original motor, but I haven't checked the numbers. It still has the original interior inside (black leather). I've replaced the carpet, and the shifter with a B&M (which included a console modification). I've also replaced a few hoses in the power steering unit. It still has the original paint color, though it's the second paint job. The paint, however, has been on for over twenty years (and holding up very well, I might add). I (for Christmas) got dual flowmasters with chrome tips installed. My exhaust was previously 2-in. so we had to keep the flows 2-in. instead of 2 1/2 in. I got this car for my 16th Birthday as a gift from my parents (even though I got it at fifteen). This was the only thing I ever wanted to drive *:) | ||||||||||||||||||||

| I'm installing a steel wall in my trunk (where there was previously a wall of cardboard) to separate the back seat and the trunk compartment. This is said to help prevent the exhaust from coming into the car, and to help incase of an accident (where the rear gas tank proves to be quite dangerous). I'm not sure if this is true, but the piece of steel does prevent the exhaust fumes, and it looks a lot better than rotting cardboard and springs... which is the view you get from the trunk. I'm also getting minor body work done and getting a fabulous new paint job.... a smokey blue color is gonna be the new shade. I am also planning to get a new windshield (mine is "pitted") and get the drum brakes converted into disc brakes. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| ***News*** Being as the '67 has no A/C, I can't drive my daughter around in it... it's too hot here in GA. So, I let my brother keep it... and, well... he kinda broke it. It's in the process of having it's front end rebuilt. I'll keep the site posted with any news relating it's return to the road! |
