Giraavaru has a Dhoni (boat) on Fridays that leaves from Jetti #1 by the President's Jetti at 9am and returns around 4pm. There is a $5 fee. When you get there you can put your name down for the Buffet which is extra or just dine a la carte at the cafe.
They have a decent beach, small pool and decent house reef to snorkel.

In Male'
There isn't a whole lot to do, there are no bars or clubs.
Scuba Diving, There are numerous Dive centres including; Sea Explorers, Maldivers
Sultan's Park, the only green space in Male' & has a little museum.
Fish Market and Local Market are worth seeing.
There are a couple of Mosques worthy of seeing, just not at prayer time.
There is 1 movie theatre, Athena, that has air con, a good sound system but poor consession stand so bring your own popcorn. They play English and Hindi Movies from DVD with a good projector. Movies play at 6 and 9pm most days.
During the day you can go to Artificial Beach or the swim area on the south side of the island.
There are no real beaches in Male', they were all filled in long ago with a break wall to expand this tiny island.
There is a surf area on the SE corner of Male', just don't wipe out, it's not for beginners.
If you like to go for walks, the only time is between midnight and 5 am or Fridays during prayers.
Otherwise the streets are pretty crowded and you can't walk a straight line with all the pedestrians, bikes, scooters, motor bikes and cars. It is also pretty hot and humid most of the time so get used to being all sweaty.
Going out to eat or going for coffee are really to only other things to do.

Shopping can be a time consuming affair and it is not usually just nip into the store to pick something up. Hunting will be required. Shopping
Carnival/ Fair Grounds North East Male' there are several cafe's and restaurants.

There is a ferry that leaves from New Harbour in the South West corner of Male'.
There is a Symphony Restaurant and some beaches as well as not being too crowded. It's a mini get away from the crowds of Male'.

If you have a bike, it's a big sandy island with long straight roads. It looks like something out of Sim city in development. There are some beaches and COWS!
