Since I only set up this site in the middle of Sept., we're not going to go backward in the year... Except to note the birth of Trey to Paul & Lisa on Aug.9. He was a long time coming, with Lisa spending the last 6 wks in the hospital.
Labor Day Weekend was Cameron's first experence at spending a weekend with Grandpa Mike & Grandma Liz. It started with a ride to the lake in the Miata with the top down... He loved it!! Then we fed the BIG catfish & BIGGER carp... He then learned the finer points of how to smoke a pork roast & set up for a family get-together.
Sunday, mom & dad, Joel & Michelle (now beginning to show that she is expecting) & Paul, Lisa & Trey came out for the day. Cameron sucked up the ribs, everyone else made the pork roast disappear. Yes, this was the weekend Cameron learned that a pork butt is not really a butt, but a shoulder. He also worked on, but didn't quite perfect... How to blow his nose like Santa, lay a finger along one side of your nose & blow. This, like spitting, he learned, should never be done into the wind. |
