The Botanical Gardens of Ladera
Ladera had it's own Botanical Gardens with a trail through them.  This is where they grew the landscape plants, many of the fruits, vegetables & herbs for the restaurant.  Liz & I spent several afternoons meandering the garden & talking with Ray, the head gardener.
Liz is next to a Giant Philodendron.  Wouldn't that be neat on the patio?  Below is an iris that produced flowers right out of the leaf, it didn't form a separate stem for flowers.
To the left is a Sleeping Hibiscus, the flower is produced but it never opens...
