Young Island
St. Vincent & the Grenadines
It was 9:00 PM when we arrived at the Young Island dock!  That was after three flights & 18 hours of planes, airports, security checks, customs, immigration, airline "snacks" & a taxi ride.  The island was lit up beautifully, but after all this time we could hardly appreciate it...  It looked much better the next day!

We realize some of you may be saying, " OK, just where is St. Vincent & the Grenadines?"
They are comprised of 30 small islands in the very southern part of the Carribean, only 13 degrees north of the equator, or just north of Grenada & just south of St. Lucia.  And for you movie buffs, St. Vincent is where Pirates of the Carribean was filmed!
The final leg of our trip was to board the boat with luggage & head across the bay to Young Island.
This little boat is the only way onto the island! It runs 24 hours a day & makes the brief trip to the island sounding very much like the original "Jungle Queen".
The temperture on the night of our arrival was about 79 degrees, much more pleasant than what we left behind in St. Louis.
