~ The Birth of the Bark Media Network ~
June 28th, 2001 would be the birth of something, something that would change the fabric of the boards it went into. The 28th of June, 2001 will always be remembered as the birth of the Bark Media Network.

In the large social board known only as “The Couch” a young man with his level 6 account created the Bark News Network. His name was “Singha” and soon after the BNN exploded around the Couch. Galaxy420 (known today as Engima420) became the BNN’s first Vice President. Of course the Couch was not the place for the BNN. It quickly moved on into a new frontier known as “Long Time Users”. At LTU the BNN started out as a coverer of elections and conducted interviews. People who were included were Mike8787, Zelda2000, Vegetaman, Y the Alien, Cloud701 and Whitesburg. “Election Talk” was born for this focal purpose.

“Watch it and Learn” – The Bark News Network’s Slogan

After a few months, 2 to be exact, the Bark News Network had its’ first special….
Whitesburg. Man or Mouse? Was published. KoRnKid became the next Vice President of the BNN, and also the longest. Soon after Singha himself became president of the Veterans Board and the BNN became bigger. After a while Singha thought to himself, the BNN’s name only described news….why not make it bigger? Then he came up with the name, “The Bark Media Network.” Besides the news and the rare special in the early life of the BMN, one show had made an impression. “The Cooking Hall with GameGirlx” opened the doors for more people to join the BMN.

After many months of not doing much Season IX rolled around. KK had left and the BMN was looking for a new Vice President. Mike8787 answered that call. He had built the BMN Website and received a place within the BMN. After a while many people joined with the BMN like Xtra, Matt, Talain, ZZT2 and many more. Season X brought the Veteran President Special and also a new enemy. Matt and Talain founded the Moo Media Network soon after Season XI started.

Let’s zoom ahead now….
During Season XII the BMN’s membership exploded and to this day employs around 25 to 30 people. BMN has many plans for the future and intends to stay around for months to come. Let us just wait for the great things to come from the Bark Media Network.
