Yech! This flick made me want to projectile vomit… and NOT in a good way. A gaggle of geeky film-students shooting a low-budget zombie movie in a rotting abandoned hospital soon find themselves living through the real thing, doing battle with a lame Rob Zombie look-alike and his three rotting henchmen. Not a bad premise, even if it's rather derivative of Ormsby's Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things, but the results aren't quite as inspired. About the only thing this cardboard snooze-fest has going for it is an appearance by McGrory (aka. "Bigfoot" of Howard Stern "whack-packer" fame) as one of the villain's ghoulish goons.

Technically speaking this is no better or worse than most of the shit to pass through Full Moon Entertainment's sphincter. I think what particularly miffs me most is that writer/director Parker claims to be an old fan of Fulci's ravenous revenant flicks, but looking at this piece of tedious tripe you'd think he'd just seen his first giallo yesterday. (Methinks he must have checked out The Beyond only after hearing it had received Cretin Tarantino's seal of approval.)

You want a piece of the real rock? Do yourself a favor and buy/rent/watch City of the Living Dead or even Zombie instead. This is just a waste of good skeeve-out time.

* Dead meat, ripe n' reeking.
** Moribund, but showing a slight flicker of life.
*** Good and healthy.
**** Brimming with vitality.
