Barrel & Bow African Safaris are situated in a Malaria FREE area and no other precautions need to be taken.

Although hunting can take place year round, the ideal hunting period is from April to September. Barrel & Bow Safaris cater for hunts from a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of 21 days.

Why hunt South Africa
The South African region experiences one the highest average number of days sunshine in the world. The region experience dry mild winters from May to September. Although the days are normally mild to warm during the winter, the early mornings and evenings can be quite chilly.  Summers are hot to very hot accompanied by occasional thunderstorms from October to April.
