Sonnet #18:  Committed

My breath was first drawn in for you
Before my feet could walk
I also knew that you were true
Before my mouth could talk
On days now gone I caste around
To hear your soft spoke name
I seek and search and hunt the sound
That makes the wild man tame

I am the one, the eye that sees
The depth of the black heart
And as I blow upon the breeze
To heal the torn apart
My wings are clipped, my soul is bound
I walk around the confines ground
