Not still standing in the Station anymore.

The Railway Station in Amiens Street in Dublin (Connolly Station) is currently undergoing a big refit but this stairwell, to a gents toilet below, seems to be going to survive. Chrome, streamlined curves, burnished copper, all classic deco but it may date from a refit just after the war. For the benefit of ladies the toilet itself is nothing special.

This station used to be home to the blue and cream trains of the Great Northern Railway. From just outside this stairwell you can catch the "Enterprise" to Belfast.the most deco influenced town in Ireland

Brass, chrome stairwell, Amiens Street,Dublin Update August 2005 -This has been completely destroyed, as part of the refit of the station, no trace of it now remains.
