::Hiko Seijirou::

Hiko Seijirou is the 13 decendant of the Hiten Mitsuryugi Ryu technique. He is also Himura Kenshin's master. His favorite beverage is sake. And often calls Kenshin stupid pupil. Hiko saved Kenshin from death when Kenshin had been a child. Hiko had told Kenshin to go to the village and stay with someone. But instead Kenshin buries everyone, putting a cross above their graves. When Hiko returns to the place where he had saved Kenshin, and saw what he had done, Hiko decided to take Kenshin is as a pupil. Hiko also was the person who renamed him. His original name being Shinta, which had been to nice to be a name for a swordman. Hiko is some what a super man. He is very muscular, and seems very young even though he is 43.
Often Hiko is referred to as Superman. The nickname suits him though. He once defeated a Budo master that was alot bigger then him. But he was able to defeat him because he understood that he was only fighting because no one understood him. But Hiko did.
Hiko had been unwilling to let Kenshin go join the Bakumatsu. Hiko thought that Kenshin did not know enough about life yet, so he would easily become a uncaring killer. Which he did. So when Kenshin returned to ask for help, Hiko refused to teach him. This is until he heard from Kaoru, Yahiko, and Misao what Kenshin had been doing in the 15 years that he has been wandering. And so, he decides to teach Kenshin the Hiten Mitsuryugi succesion technique. The Ama Kakeru no Hirameki. But because Kenshin was willing to put his life on the line in order to defeat the enemy, he was unable to learn the technique. But when it came time for Kenshin to go against Hiko, Kenshin realized what he was missing. And this was the will to live. And Hiko was willing to sacrifice his life to show this to Kenshin. I suppose Hiko is a good master.
