Born in the year of 1849, Himura Shinta was exposed to warfare. His parents were slaughtered so he was left in the care of three women, Sakura, Akane, and Kasumi, three sisters sold off for a family debt... Unfortunately, while being on their way to be sold, thieves killed the sisters along with several other innocent people.
Then a mysterious swordsman by the name of Seijirou Hiko comes and saves Shinta, leaving as spontaneously as he had appeared. The next day, the swordman returns and finds Shinta. Impressed that Shinta had made graves for every single person, including the slave traders and thieves, Hiko accepted him to be his student and renamed him to Kenshin, claiming that Shinta was too soft for a warrior. With Hiko, Kenshin learns the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu, shaping him to become the Battousai, and eventually the Kenshin he is today.

Ryu Tsui Sen:: Kenshin jumps to a high altitude and comes down with great force, towards his opponent, attacking them.
Ryu Sho Sen:: Kenshin lounges forward with great speed, and gets his opponent to fall back as he moves upward.
Dou Ryu Sen:: Kenshin strikes the ground with great impact, loosening the ground. The ground's contents rush up as the ground is cracked, pushing the opponent back.
Ryu Kan Zen Tsumuji:: Kenshin practically flies into the air and spins, helping him thrust towards his opponent with greater speed and strike them with a powerful blow.
Kuzu Ryu Sen:: Kenshin strikes all 9 of his opponent's vital points at the same time, making this attack impossible to defend.
Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki:: This is the succession technique of the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. This attack resembles the dragon, killing its prey in one swift motion. This is an extremely fast attack. The amakakeru differs from the other techniques in that Kenshin leads this attack with his left foot (others require the right), making this attack dangerous to perform. This attack can only be accomplished if the person's will to live is strong because his/her life is put at risk.
