::Sagara Sanosuke::

Sanosuke was orphaned when he was very young. Sagara Souzou accepted him and treated him as a member of his soldiers that were helping the government. Sagara raised Sanosuke as his own son. Once the government had found no use of the team, they got Ishin Shishi to murder Sagara. Once Sagara was dead, Sanosuke was left alone once again. Ever since then, Sano's heart was filled with hatred for the government and had a symbol made on the back of his shirt, "evil".

Sano loved fighting and always wanted a challenger that was as good as him. He never succeeded in finding one. Somehow, he ends up in Tokyo and meets Kenshin. Kenshin gets into a duel with Sano for wanting to destroy the government. Kenshin wins and Sanosuke sees the government in a new kind of way. Sanosuke even become best of friends with Kenshin and joins the Kamiya Dojo.
He often goes over to the Kamiya Dojo and eats off them. Since he always has such bad luck with gambleing and all. He never has enough money. But he does have his own apartment.
When Kenshin goes off to fight Shishio, and leaves Sano in Tokyo, he is about to go after him, but Saito stops him. Saying that Sano is too weak and that Kenshin will just have to protect him. So they start fighting and Sano realizes that he really is weak. But he still goes after him. But gets lost. And he starts wandering in circles. He dicides to eat his last bun, but the bun gets knocked onto the fllor. He finds that the cause of the earthquake was from a monk. He watches as the monk uses his sword and fist to brake rocks into dust. And askes to be tauught. The monk teaches him, but says that if he can't learn it in a month then the monk can kill him. Sano says that he can learn it in a week. And he does. He is about to give up when he sees his masters spirit. And he continues to learn. This is how he learns the Futuae no Kiwami.

Sanosuke's fighting styles usually revolve around his bare hands. However, he was known to have use a weapon called the Zanbatou. The huge sword was destroyed by Kenshin while they were in a duel. Later on, he learns the technique known as the Futae no Kiwami from Anji.
Futae no Kiwami:: This technique requires striking an object with absolute force. First the knuckles come into contact with the object, then finishing the attack by bending and relaxing the part where the fingers are connected to the rest of the hand on the object. This attack will turn the object into really tiny particles. *This goes for objects such as stones, humans are not examples ^^;;*
