The Review: Thinking the show started at 7:30, I was annoyed when it started at
8:30. Slunt opened for Marilyn Manson, and these guys (and gals) have to be one of
the worst bands to have ever played along with a well known national act.
Seriously. I hope I never have to listen to them again. Marilyn Manson came out at
9:30 and started off the way I remembered him doing os back in 1994, with 'Family
Trip'. I don't think he can go wrong with that. He played with a lot of energy,
went through a few outfit changes and put on a great show. I was really hoping for
more off of 'Portrait of an American Family', since that is the only album I
truly liked. All in all, a great show, and I would really like to thank Damien on
this one.

The Recording: Ack... I spent 5 minutes on Slunt and 5 hours on the Manson set. I
don't like the end result. One of two things happened, 1) SPL levels were too much
for the CMC-8's or 2) Bass roll-off on the SP-SPSB-3 was not set high enough.
Either way, this means what.... bass distortion. Yep, that's right. It is still
listenable, and people say they like it a lot, but I just am not happy with it.
The vocals sound great, but the bass was so overwhelming at this show, it took a
ton of work just to get it sounding reasonable. Anyways, take it for what it is,
as I am sure no one else in Albuquerque taped it.
