The building located at Markt 38 in Gavere (Belgium) is one of the few left of the 17th and 18th century buildings that dominated
the market square in Gavere. Around 1965, the first floor was rebuilt into a nowadays shop, but the front of the second floor
remained much as it originally was designed.
The original stuccowork has a style balancing between Louis XV and Louis XVI style. The ornaments used are two
rococo-consoles, a flower garland, and a central three-lobed oculus with mask on top and shell motive at the bottom.
Small ornamental anchors carry the year 1775.
