The participants this week are Wiesia (WF), Neal (NS), and Berel (BB).

1.WF Isaak didn't know that it was Yaacov his small son who was standing before him because his eyes were heavy and did not see, and Yaacov's hands were as the hands of Esav, his brother.

1 NS Yitzkhak did not know that Ya'akov his young son was the one standing before him because his eyes were heavy, and he didn't see. The hands of Ya'akov were like the hands of Esav his brother.

1 BB Isaac did not know that he was Jacob his young(er) son who was standing before him, for his eyes were dull and he did not see. And the hands of Jacob were like the hands of Eisau his brother.

 

2.WF Pharaoh commanded his servants saying, Let the work od the sons of Israel be heavy because they are crying to God from their work.

2 NS Pharaoh commanded his servants saying, " Let the work be heavy on the children of Israel because they are crying to their G-d from their work.

2 BB Pharoah commanded his servants saying, let be heavy the work upon the Children of Israel, for they are calling to their G-d from their work.

 

3.WF You are small in the eyes of the Lord because you did not keep His word

3 NS You are small in the eyes of HaShem because you did not keep His word.

3 BB You are small in the eyes of Hashem for you did not keep His word.

 

4.WF Because you shed blood and you considered small the word in you eyes your son will not rule after you.

4 NS Because you shed blood and the thing was small in your eyes, your son will not rule after you.

5.WF You are righteous Lord who are giving to the hungry one his bread.

5 NS You are righteous, HaShem, the one who gives to the hungry one his bread.

6.WF The sons of Israel were in the desert of Sinai and the people was hungry and they cried out to Moshe Why did we go out of our work from Egypt, for death in this great desert because there isn't any bread for us and for our daughters and for our sons, and there is no water for the sheep which are ours.

6 NS The children of Israel were in the wilderness of Sinai, and the people were hungry and cried to Mosheh saying, "Why did your servants go out from Egypt because death is in this great wilderness since there is no bread for us and our wives and our children, and there is no water for the sheep ?"

6 BB The Children of Israel were in the Sinai Desert and the people hungered, and they called to Moses saying, "Why did your servants go out from Egypt for death [shouldn't it be a Lamed here to express purpose?] in the great desert? For there is not bread for us and for our wives and for our children; and there is not water for our sheep which are with us."

 

7.WF Don't lie down in the temple of the Lord for the place is holy unto your God and the man who doesn't keep this commandment will be judged with his death.

7 NS You shall not lie down in the temple of HaShem because the place is holy to your G-d. And the man who will not keep this commandment will have a judgement of death.

7 BB You will not lie down in the temple of Hashem for the place is holy to your G-d, and the man who will not keep this commandment (will have) a judgement of death.

 

8.WF The messengers spoke to Moshe saying in the evening We went down from the mountain, the town was lyind down there in that night.

8 NS The spies spoke to Mosheh saying, "In the evening we went down from the mountain to the city, and we slept there that night."

8 BB The spies spoke to Moses saying, "In the evening we went down from the mountain toward the city and we laid down there in that night."

 

9.WF Your name will be great in all the earth for the nations will see that we're your people

9 NS Magnify Your name in all the earth, and the nations will see that we are Your people.

9 BB Your name will be great in all the world and the nations will see that we are your people.

 

10.WF I am not able to judge all the people alone

10 NS I am not able to judge all the people alone.

10 BB I alone am not able to judge the entire people.

 

11.WF Behold you are coming to the land which the Lord gave unto you and you kept his work acc. to what Moshe his servant commanded

11 NS Behold you are coming to the land that HaShem gave to you, and you will keep His service as Mosheh His servant commanded you.

11 BB Behold you (pl.) are coming to the land which Hashem gave to you will guard his service, just as Moses his servant has commanded you.

 

12.WF Behold this is the house of God and I didn't know and I slept there.

12 NS Behold this is the house of G-d, and I didn't know, and I slept there.

12 BB Behold this is a house of Hashem and I did not know (it) and I laid down there.

 

13.WF There was once a lad in the temple of the Lord ,and he was great, and became a man, and he kept service of the Lord, and he pursued (the) righteousness and (the) truth.

13 NS The lad was in the temple of G-d, and he grew and became a man, and he kept the service of HaShem, and he persued righteousness and truth.

13 BB And it happened that a young man was in the temple of Hashem and he grew up [first definition for Gadal in BDB] and he became (to) a man, and he kept the service of Hashem and he pursued righteousness and truth [why do tzedek and emet have the definite article?).

 

14.WF ANd it came to pass that after the death of Yaacov Yoseph remembered the commandments of his father that he commanded him before his death saying Now I pray you'll bury me in Egypt, I pray you'll indeed bury me in the land of Canaan and I'll sleep with our fathers there.

14 NS It came to pass after the death of Ya'akov, Yosef remembered the commandment of his father that he commanded him before his death saying, "Please don't bury me in Egypt. Please bury me in the land of Canaan, and I shall sleep with my fathers there."

14 BB And it happened that after the death of Jacob and Joseph remembered the commandment of his father which he commanded him before his death saying "Please do not bury me in Egypt, please indeed bury me in the land of Canaan, and I will lie down there with my fathers.

 

15.WF And the word of the Lord came unto him in the place in the night saying I am the God of Avraham and the God of your father Isaac and I've kept you from all evil

15 NS The word of HaShem came to him in a dream at night saying, "I am the G-d of Avraham and the G-d of your father Yitzkhak, and I shall keep you from all evil."

15 BB And the word of Hashem came to him in the dream of the night [strange wording -- I'd expet b'chalom balayla] saying I am the G-d of Abrahm, and the G-d of your father Isaac, and I will protect you from all evil.
