KEITH WHITE BIO |

Keith’s earliest inspirations as a young artist were women’s faces and abstract drawings from his imagination, though he was never originally inspired by art in the traditional sense. Keith says “I find mainstream boring so very early on my inspirations came alive with the influx of the New Romantic movement, including Boy George, Leigh Bowery, and Pete Burns.”
Most of his paintings glorify outsiders and the paranormal, while others are inspired from events in his personal life. Some of these were shown in his first month-long solo show “Outsiders and Apparitions” in New York City in September 2006. Having worked in traditional painting methods and mediums for some time Keith currently has incorporated photography and digital mediums in his artwork. Some of these include designs for music artist DRAGCHRIST and another more recent inspiration Alisson Gothz. Keith describes his work often as “Candy Coated Darkness” as he blends artificial elements with human. Often incorporating his fabulous muses with his canvas work, remixing like a modern DJ surreal and abstract designs with people who are not living by the rules of fashion and trends, sometimes labeled as freaks, a term of endearment to Keith.
