This article from the Logansport Pharos Tribune:
Injuries fatal to pedistrian

A Logansport woman struck by a vehicle while walking across a street Tuesday evening has died of her injuries.
Alene D. Oaks, 62, was died at 2:04 p.m. Wednesday in Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Oaks was struck by a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe Tuesday evening as she walked across Roselawn Drive. Glare from the sun is believed to be the reason Matthew K. Gaumer, 23, Logansport, did not see Oaks when he was turning south onto Roselawn from High Street.
Oaks was unconscious when authorities arrived. She was transferred to Logansport Memorial Hospital before being flown via Good Samaritan helicopter to the Fort Wayne hospital.
Police said that no charges will be filed against Gaumer.
