Mom's Olivia brought this back to me when she went to Australia. It says: Wanted: a good woman who can clean and cook fish, dig worms, and owns new fishing boat with motor. Please enclose photo of boat and motor. I figured that a day when I have essentially "gone fishin'" was the perfect day to post this magnet. No links today WHAT I'M READING When Peggy was here, we listened to a lot of John Denver music (which I don't think Steve has forgiven me for). I was so intrigued by so many of his lyrics that I wanted to read the story behind them, so borrowed the book from her. also "Sliding
Down Rainbows" also House of Sand and Fog Lynn left this book for me; I'd just seen a discussion on Oprah about it and was anxious to read it. That's it for today!

ZZZzzzzzzz 28 January 2001 "Who do I complain to about not getting my journal this morning?" Walt asked me, letting me know he'd already checked the journal page for today and found no new entry. Well, that's what happens when I make the mistake of sitting down to watch TV at 8:30 at night. I fell asleep. I woke up around midnight, but my head was so foggy I couldn't come up with a journal entry to save my soul, and I went back to sleep at 3, waking too late. I almost missed my morning chat with Peggy. Now I'm under the gun because we're going to a social event today and I have to go to the store to buy the ingredients I didn't buy last night. So there will be no regular journal entry today. I decided to sleep instead. But just for an update, Lynn is now gone, having packed up all of her earthly belongings and dragged 5 bags out to her rented car yesterday morning. I spent the day trying to catch up with dictation. So it was a boring day topped off with an early night of sleep. And none of that makes for a very interesting journal entry. But tomorrow there will be glitz! glamour! excitement! photos! Or at the very least a normal journal entry again. In the meantime, here are my new glasses, which I finally picked up:
