Identical cousin of Samantha's, Serena was a free spirit, living live to the full and hopping around the cosmos on the slightest whim. A creature of the times Serena often changed her "look" to suit the latest trends. Her wildest transformation was that to Hippie, in the sixties, where she took part in "love ins" , peace rallies and writing ballads for popular recording artists. Not one to let the grass grow under her feet, Serena was never in one place too long. Or with any one person too long. Her list of boyfriends is legendary. She once decided to "find a mortal and marry it", however he turned out be an egotistic Warlock in disguise. Temperamental - boyfriends who have crossed her have been transformed into a variety of creatures and inanimate objects (anything from an antique bedwarmer to a large scaly monster living at the bottom of Loch Ness). She does possess "a sweet forgiving nature", however, especially when "the planet Icarus is passing between Jupiter and Venus". So , whenever this may be it's probably the best time to meet up with her! | |||||||||||||||

From the very beginning Elizabeth was out to prove herself. Her Father Robert Montgomery, never encouraged her to follow in his footsteps. Born in Hollywood on April 15, 1933, young Liz attended the Westlake School for girls, and ultimately became a society debutante. Then the family moved to New York where her father had become a major figure in live television. Her education was completed at the Spence School for Girls in the East. She spent two years at the American Academy y or Dramatic Arts. She made her television debut on December 3, 1951 on "Robert Montgomery Presents" in an episode called "Top Secretly". Ironically he didn't learn that she had been cast until after rehearsals started. She soon became part of the anthology show stock company and proved she was more than just the boss's daughter. Her stage debut followed in 1953 in "Late love" with Arlene Francis, which won her a Theatre World Award. Ironically she never again played on Broadway. She married New York TV casting director Fred Cammann in the spring of 1955. They were divorced by August. This same year marked her first film role - "The court martial of Billy Mitchell". She would star in only two other movies. After moving back to Hollywood , she married actor Gig Young , a union which lasted for six years. During this time she made two hundred TV appearances and was nominated for an Emmy for "The Rusty Heller story " episode of "The Untouchables". Though it was not love at first site when she first encountered William Asher on the set of her second movie "Johnny Cool (they were both wed to other people at the time), by October of that year each had divorced their respective spouses and had gotten married in Mexico. From the Montgomery - Asher union came Bewitched. And as Montgomery pointed out "When people normally think of witches they imagine either funny old crones with long noses or someone kind of dark and sultry. The fact that i don't look exotic and witch like is an enormous boost for the show's humour" After eight years of Bewitched the show ended and so did Elizabeth's marriage to Asher. Elizabeth went on to star in many hit tv movies including "A case of Rape". "The legend of Lizzie Borden, "The Awakening land " and "Second sight". In 1995, after a short illness, Elizabeth Montgomery died from Cancer at the age of sixty two. |
