It was sunset on the small Island of Kyra. The orange had engulfed the whole island including the trees and ocean. At the shore there was a few large rocks also plagued by the sunset and sitting on top of one of the biggest, was a small boy of thirteen.

The water's hard glare forcefully reflected off of his deep blue eyes and the light breeze slightly ruffled his fringe. He had growing brown hair that shined from the light.

He looked out at the tree islands out to sea. From the left they were Pei Isle, which was the same size as Kyra, Shimaa Island, that that a huge pollution cloud covering the huge place and Cape Corpe which was a barely visible "spike" poking out of the ocean. The boy knew there was something special about the Islands but he seemed attracted to them with a sense of magic.

"Raphael, dear! Dinner is ready!" Called a voice from afar,
"*sigh* Coming, Mum!" He called back disappointed. He stood up and took one last glance at the sea before jumping from the rock and running through the forest until he reached a small town. He saw his house. It was a large cabin with small trees growing in a line ouside the front door. He went through the open door and saw both his mother and little brother serving dinner.

"Hi, Raz!" Said his brother gleefully as he sat down at the pine table,
"Hey..." He siged as he sat down. His mother then placed a bowl of soup and some bread in front of him, "Soup again, huh, Mum?" He sighed as he spun the wooden spoon around in it.
"What's wrong? I always thought you loved my soup." His mother asked him in concern,
"It's fine I just...you know...would be happy to eat something else for a change."
"Such as...?"
"...Meat?"
"Aaaw! Honey, you know we're getting a hunting knife soon!"
"Yeah..."
"Is there something else wrong, dear?"
"Oh...it's nothing..."
"Did you have another --"
"I said it's nothing!!" Raz lashed out at her, standing up. His mother deppressively stared down at her feet.
"I-I'm only trying to help..."
"Look I'm sorry...I have something to do..." He picked up his bread and soup and went to stare at the sunset again. He left the kitchen and climbed up the small staircase onto a small varanda and stared at the Islands once more.

About three hours later Raz was starting to fall asleep until he was startled to hear his brother's voice calling out to him,
"Raz, time for bed!"
