UPTOWN MANHATTAN & THE BRONX
This means north of Harlem and the Bronx. Like Harlem, it's not more dangerous than any other neighbourhood I've been to. In fact, I think it's a shame that people would visit NYC without seeing the Bronx. Here are a few sites that I think people should see.

The New York Botanical Garden. Very nice, but not as diversified as the one in Montreal. The main attraction is the greenhouse with its immaculate rows of different plants from different climates.

Our Lady of Mont Carmel...again! An Italian church, too! Anyway, this church is in the heart of Bronx's Little Italy. A neighbourhood to see, with its small shops and parks, it can make the Bronx a pleasant experience.

The Cloisters. Supposedly, this castle was built by taking remnants from abandoned castles all over Europe. Hmmmm, anyway, it's a good excuse to visit Washington Heights, Inwood and the George Washington Bridge.

Bronx Zoo, the biggest one in NYC. What I like here is that the animals are out in the open. There is no fee, but a donation is expected as admisson.
