SYRACUSE
Syracuse in New York is named after this town.  It is arguably the most historical city in Sicily.  There are two main points of interest here….the archeological sites where there are ancient ruins and Ortigia, the island part of the town developed in the 17th century.
Over here is the Greek theater………
And its neighbour in the back is the Roman theater…..
Dionysios’ Ear.  This place was actually carved out!  It was used as a torture chamber under the ruler whose cave bears his name…just walking in was eery enough.
