QUALITIES AND PERSPECTIVES
My most unique qualities include a diverse background, adaptation, involvement into extracurricular activities, as well as determination and stamina. I was born in Germany and with my parents being traditional and loyal to their roots in Turkey; I grew up throughout my childhood in a bicultural environment. However, my educational career started in Istanbul, Turkey, where I entered the elementary school. I adapted well to my class mates and teachers which might have been difficult to outsiders since discipline was a major priority in Turkish schools at that time. After enjoying three and a half years of my culture and tradition, and the friendly and relaxed people in Turkey, we decided to go back to Germany for a better education for my brother and me.
In contrast, I learned much about being competitive and acquired a lot of knowledge in the privileged high school system that Germany offered me. Among others, I had the opportunity to learn 7 years of French besides my three other language abilities (German, Turkish, and English). At this instant I am also in the process to acquire some skills in Chinese. Moreover, the experience in two absolutely different cultures helps me now to get along in any kind of environment, especially in such a diverse place as Southern California. The education system here in the United States is much more rewarding than anywhere else in the world. Therefore, I feel more intensively motivated to participate in extracurricular activities. I was President of the International Club at Riverside Community College for two semesters in a row and wish to continue my engagement at UCR where I transfer to. The decision to move to a foreign country by myself wasn't difficult to make because I know that this is just another step for me to become a more complete person and brings me closer to my goals. I hope to take on new challenges and further excel at my future education here in America.
My plan for my educational career includes finishing my studies at University of California Riverside with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. I am going to start UCR in     Fall '05 and continue my studies for about 2 years. Afterwards, I plan to obtain a high GMAT score and by maintaining my high GPA I hope for a Full Scholarship at universities such as  University of California Berkeley with its prestigious Hass School.
Upon finishing my educational career at UCB or other with my MBA, I hope to make a head start at one of the leading global companies such as IBM, Mercedes Benz, Microsoft, etc. I set my goals for my career as high as becoming a CEO. Only the sky is the limit.
