. . . Fabian Nicieza! Fabian's reputation as a "mutant-writer"  used to terrify me until I discovered that he wasn't a mutant. He just wrote about them. And quite well.
		Fabian's comics career began in the editorial offices of Marvel Comics, but he was soon scripting several popular titles including "NEW WARRIORS", "X-MEN", "GAMBIT" and some non-mutant hero called "SPIDER-MAN".
			Nicieza went on to work for all the major comics companies. His reputation was such that when Acclaim wanted to re-launch the VALIANT comics line of heroes, they tapped Nicieza as the man to spear-head the revival. The enterprise was not to be long-lived, but that just freed up Fabian to continue doing what he does best: write.
