JIM SHOOTER! While other 13 year olds were making their millions in the stock market, young Jim Shooter hitched his star to the exciting world of comic books. The adolescent Shooter submitted a "LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES" story that was packed with much needed characterizaton and the editors saw his potential. And so did a young man take his first tentative steps onto that yellow brick road of the freelance comics writer. It would prove to be a long and winding path that would eventually lead to Marvel Comics in the 1970s where Shooter crafted  modern-day myths that resonate in the House of Ideas to this day. Jim would rise to the position of Editor-in-Chief at Marvel and the company flourished during his tenure in that office. Maturing into an industry mover and shaker, he would guide his own company to prosperity in the 1980s when he helped found VALIANT Comics. Other companies would follow: DEFIANT, BROADWAY, the aborted DARING. Jim currently works in the film industry as an executive producer at Phobos Entertainment.
