| "Healing the Earth, Healing Ourselves"
This three-day camping event will take place in Confluence, Kentucky nestled in the majestic Appalachian Mountains. This vibrant young festival is just waiting to be discovered by one and all. If you enjoy pristine wilderness, beautiful Appalachian settings, and are wanting to get back to nature, come join us. On October 1st (Camper set-up) thru the 4th (travel home after noon closing ceremony) 2009, the hills and hollers will be alive with the sounds of laughter, healing, and positive energy. Experience Alternative healers, environmental lovers of Mother Earth and diverse multicultural experts of Appalachian and Native American traditions from all over the country. Savor exotic herbal, vegetarian, and Appalachian food cooked by our participants.. We will be cooking and eating together.. Do you make a special dish, be prepared to cook. A kitchen will be set up for communal cooking. Bring your own dishes and expect to wash them. There will be no more styrofoam or plastic. Bring enough food to share. See, dance, come alive, enjoy stories that will intrigue you, and learn skills of the mountains. Open up your heart and mind and listen to music that will make you reflect on the generations past and to come. Walk the labyrinth and the Medicine Wheel under the light of a full moon and re-connect with your innerself. Receive the healing from Spirit with the beating drums from our DRUM CIRCLE and FIREWALK. Bring your childrens drums for the puppet show "once upon a Tribal Time", followed by childrens drum workshop, adults workshop, dinner, and supper with more drumming to follow.
We are looking for presenters in the areas of Solar Living, Spirit Dance, Ceremonies, Natural Healing, Sustainable Living, etc. Musicians, storytellers, firespinners, belly-dancers, come one, come all! Primitive, primitive, primitive camping is available and always seems to make the experience more enjoyable. Please be sure to bring your camping supplies.
