| I wonder if there’s life on Mars, Around the sun or on the stars? I wonder too about the moon, Will we find out very soon? I wonder if there’s God above, Also does he show his love? I wonder if there is a hell, And will we get to know it well? I wonder of creatures, what they fear, Is it by accident they are here? I wonder of birds and why they sing, Is it for us the joy they bring? I wonder of men and the wars they start, Do they know kids are torn apart? I wonder of life and all the greed, Is it contentment that we need? I wonder of love and what it entails, Or is it religion that give those details? I wonder of people and why they preach, Do they know more so they can teach? I wonder of people who think it’s their right, To kill a marlin , `cos they put up a fight. I wonder of dolphins jumping so high. Why do we laugh and why do we cry? I wonder of beauty, is it a sin? To see with the eyes and not what’s within. I wonder if we all have a soul, If we do, then what is its goal? I wonder about our true soul mate, If we don’t meet, then what is our fate? I wonder about the superstition, And of course, all tradition. I wonder of so many things. Of what life is and what it brings. I wonder if we really cared, Would all the killing still be spared? I wonder and think so very deep. Thoughts good and bad in my mind they creep. I wonder and wonder most of the time. Will the powers to be say this is a crime? |
