 To "About Other Realms"
Where the Ordinary Exists as the Extraordinary
The idea of "Other Realms" occurred to me when I was much younger and spent a great deal of time writing poetry. I always felt that it was normal to "create" from a different level. It was a level where I would blend the element of mystery with every day occurrences. I thought everyone did it.
The idea seemed as natural as breathing; however, I have learned over the years that it is not as natural or as common as I may once have believed. "Other Realms" lay dormant without a forum for expression for a very long time.
Perhaps inspired by my father; no, definitely inspired by my father, it was natural for me to make a "mystery" out of life. As a result, I have been the recipient of a great many rewards in my years.
Though I have been through my own sets of troubles, unfulfilled wishes and desires, I have always found that the art of being, what other people call "strong", comes in the belief that one can exist in a "realm" of utter peace, even when surrounded by complete chaos. This takes a bit of doing, and is not for everyone, yet it can be done in such a manner that it becomes almost an art form. Something desired and admired by others.
Those of you who have survived hardship without "taking", have overcome sadness without "breaking", have experienced existence in another realm. A realm as natural as water. Induced by nothing more than the will to survive. This, my fellow realmers, is what I mean by "Other Realms".
Those of you, who have truly survived and understand, know exactly what it is to live in "Other Realms".
Then there are those of you who only think you have lived in "Other Realms", but have never experienced, tasted, touched, nor seen a realm where angels exist and fairy wings billow on the edges of a meadow near dusk. A realm where, when the sun touches the horizon one can almost hold the glow as if it were a gold bar. A heavy metal, yet valued higher than any element known. A realm where the glistening of moonlight on a dewdrop provides light to an entire ocean; where mermaids swim and glitter above the reefs and anglers watch for their magical powers at the dawning of a storm.
