At the end of this month, Belden will celebrate its first reunion from May 26 - 28 at the old Belden Village site. A number of activities are panned throughout the three days with something for everyone.

Things will kick off on Saturday, May 26 with registration at 9:00 A.M. at the Big Tent. There will be a picture display, memorabilia available, and a silent auction will start at 10:00 A.M. to help defray some of the costs of the reunion.

A picnic lunch is planned for 12 Noon under the Big Tent. This will be a good time for visiting and reminiscing with friends, old and new. There will also be horseshoes.

Dinner is planned that evening at the Two Way North (Restaurant & Lounge, in Stanley). That will feature a number of events, including the History of Belden by the Belden Historians; music by the "Kannianen Boys" and Cowboy Poetry by Ron Hanson.

Sunday, May 27 will include church services at 10:00 A.M. at the Belden Church, for those interested. Dinner will be served under the Big Tent at 11:30 A.M. There will be a presentation on the history of the Church at 1:30 P.M. At 3:30 there will be a tour of New Town, the Four Bears Bridge and the Little Knife River Valley. An evening meal will be served at about 5:30 P.M.

Monday, May 28 will include the 100th year celebration, at the Cemetery, on Memorial Day. After the ceremony, coffee, cake, and Juneberry Ice Cream will be served at the Church/Big Tent. This will be the final event of the day, to provide time for more visiting. Picture displays will still ve available for visitors to review and memorabilia will still be for sale.

Organizers invitepeople to bring picture of the golden/olden days for display.
