Liberty Mountain Trails.
The trails on Liberty Mountain are not for the tender footed! These new trails are not yet worn smooth and are filled with sharp stones and roots. They still make for an enjoyable hike for the advanced barefoot hiker. The view of Lynchburg from the LU monogram is impressive. Hiking from the trailhead to the monogram takes less than 30 minutes, but you could spend hours wandering the 30+ miles of trails that criss-cross.the mountain.
