Known to most as "Red". She loved life and loved her childern and grandchildren dearly. She has raised lots of foster children and loved them as her own. Red was well known in Yahoo. Most loved her and yes she has made a few enemies for speaking her mind but she always stood up for what she believed in. We all loved her singing and I'm sure you will all agree, she sang the songs from her heart. A lot will remember her for her "howling". Oh how she loved to howl, lol. Red didn't pull any punches. She told you what she thought even if it made you angry. She has reprimanded me lots but she has always done it with love and for my own good. What a lot of you may not know is that she had a "heart of gold".
While she was "mouthing off", so to speak, she would be in pm with me crying and hurting over it but she never backed down. She was a great friend and a wonderful meemaw to her children and to other children. She has told me that children are her life. I will never forget her and I'm sure most of you wont either. She has touched the lives and the hearts of many on Yahoo. I'm sure most of us are thankful for having known Red. She is the one that wanted the bg_prayer_angels site started so that a lot may be comforted and helped by it. May she rest in peace! ~Suzy~ |

I had talked to Theresa's daughter the night before and there was hope for a better outcome as Theresa showed some signs of improvement that day. I gave her a message for Red. I arrived home from work to unexpectantly find she had passed away. I will always remember Red howling as I un-keyed the mic for her as I played "Lil' Red Riding Hood" I will also remember the children around her, especially Chance and playing childrens songs for them in the bluegrass room and hearing Red and him giggling. I'll miss Red and the good times together we had here. God Bless Theresa and her family and the children she took care of. ~ Veni ~ |

Red was known ot me as my ho and she laughed each time I called her that. She gave me the name of abbylou and no other will call me by that name..only red said it so well and in her own ways..I was very surprised to hear of her passing ..and I know now her pain is gone for good and she is now wrapped in the good Lords hands and He will always give her the love she's given us all..Red girlfriend you might be gone from us but we will all meet one day soon and get a huge room in heaven ready for us all...and call it like we all know you..red's_heaven_still_howling and its there we shall come to greet you and have what we all best did and that is to sing and love one another and stand by one another...God Bless you red and keep looking at us..smile with us...because we know you have the best world now and us on earth are the ones who don't have the best. Thanks for being our friend..a sister to so many..and a teacher to others..no one will ever come close to you..only one red in heaven and that is YOU (Theresa) WE LOVE YOU RED..Scan and Addy Rest in Peace my friend..Amen the pain has finally left you for good. |
