The Death Penalty: International Comparison
All around the world countries use the death penalty to punish people who commit minor crimes (killing a fellow citizen). Some of these countries are Afghanistan, Israel, Japan, and the United States. People of these countries and around the world criticize these countries for using the death penalty in minor cases. Some countries, including Turkey and Greece only use the death penalty in extreme cases where people have committed treason. On the other hand, countries including the United Kingdom and many other countries do not use the death penalty at all.

Many countries have condemned people to their death for many different crimes. Some countries do not believe in inflicting the death penalty on people for minor crimes, only major crimes that effect their country’s well being. On the flip side, many countries do not believe in using the death penalty at all, for multiple reasons of their own.
