A negative impact on society would be how salt effects health. Salt is readily available in our diet and on average 6-11 grams of salt are consumed per day. Many strokes and heart attacks are due to the excessive intake of salt. Salt is also important in our diet. It adds chlorine to hydrochloric acid which is essential in the digestion of our food. |
