21 - Swaroop and Secret of Gun-Dosh Administration

Krishn further said - "So Hey Uddhav Jee, Thus one can attain Me through three paths - Bhakti Yog, Karm Yog and Gyaan Yog. Who enjoys pleasures, he wanders in the birth-death cycles repeatedly. What are Gun and Dosh? Believing in his own Dharm, according to one's own Dharm is called Gun; and doing its opposite is called Dosh.

In spite of being two things similar, when those two things are tested for purity and impurity, merits and demerits, and good and bad, its aim is to inspect and examine them correctly and it is possible only by creating a doubt in any one of them, and then only one of them can be narrowed down and thus its nature is decided. Then those things are used to control the society, to establish Dharm and to pull on one's own life with ease. Its one advantage is that the human being does not involve himself in animal instincts (or natural behavior), rather he controls his mind and life according to Shaastra. [explanation]

I Myself have told this to foolish people who are responsible for maintaining Dharm, through Manu etc. Prithvi (earth), Jal (water), Vaayu (air), Aakaash (space) and Agni (fire, or Tej) - these five Bhoot, also called Panch Bhoot or Panch Mahaa-Bhoot (five elements) are the cause of the physical bodies of all living bodies from Brahmaa to tree or mountain etc. That is why they all are same, not only in respect of their bodies but also in respect of their Aatmaa (soul) also. I have assigned them different separate names and forms (Roop), so that they, can attain all the four- Dharm, Arth, Kaam, and Moksh - through controlling their natural behavior. These Gun-Dosh have been described by Me even for Desh (place), Kaal (time), fruits, grains etc also so that people do not behave freely and can control themselves.

That Desh (country, or place) is unholy where black deer are not there, and whose people are not devotee of Braahman. Even if black deer are there, if saints do not live there, that country is unholy. Barren lands are also unholy.

Only that Kaal (Time) is holy in which one can get all the materials to do Karm (according to Shaastra). If you can't get those materials, or you cannot do prescribed Karm because of that natural Dosh, that Kaal is unholy. Cleanliness and un-cleanliness of materials are measured through wealth, speech, Sanskaar, Kaal, importance and scantiness also. [explanation 2]

Power and weakness, Buddhi (intelligence) and wealth are also used to measure the cleanliness or un-cleanliness of the thing. Among them also, place, and the user's age are also counted [for example: wealthy and poor, powerful and weak, intelligent and fool, violent and peaceful country and young and old] are also considered.

Grains, wood, tusks etc bones, thread (Soot), honey, salt, oil, Ghee etc, juice, gold and mercury etc Tejas materials; skin and pitcher etc earthen pots all become clean at time to time through the touch of air, burning in fire, rubbing the earth and washing in water.

According to Desh (place), Kaal (time) and stages, sometimes one, or sometimes two things have to be applied to make a thing clean and sometimes they become clean automatically. If any unclean material is touched with some thing, then it can be made clean by peeling or rubbing earth to it; considering that smell and part of that unclean material is gone; and that material comes out in its original form then it should be considered clean.

In the same way Snaan (taking bath), Daan (giving alms), Tapasyaa, age, capacity, Sanskaar, Karm and My remembrance clean the mind. So by cleaning themselves with these methods, a Braahman, Kshatriya, Vaishya should follow Shaastra-prescribed behavior. A Mantra through listening from Guru and and offered to me cleans Karm. Thus when Desh, Kaal, Materials, Kartaa (doer), Mantra and Karm - these six are clean, then there is Dharm, otherwise it is A-Dharm.

Sometimes according to Shaastra Vidhi (method), Gun becomes Dosh, and Dosh becomes Gun [for example: Sandhyaa Vandan, Gaayatree Jaap are Gun, but for Shoodra they are Dosh; trade of milk etc is Gun for Vaishya and completely prohibited for Braahman]. Thus one thing being Gun for somebody and the same thing being Dosh for another, violates the law of reality of Gun and Dosh and shows that this difference is only imaginary. Who are already fallen (Patit) or Paapee (sinner) they behave like fallen and they are not attached to Paap; while the same Karm are completely prohibited for good people [for example: for a Grihasth it is natural to be with his wife, but for a Sanyaasee it is a severe sin].

Uddhav Jee, The thing is this, that who is already in the bottom, up to how far he will fall more than that; thus who are already Patit (fallen), how much more they will fall? A human being draws his mind from whatever Dosh or Gun, he becomes free from those Dosh or Gun. Whoever draws his mind from whichever Gun or Dosh, he becomes free from the bondage of those particular things. This is the Dharm in Nivritti form and the means of welfare for human beings, because the same is the destroyer of all pains and sorrows, and love and fear.

Uddhave Jee, If you start seeing Gun in any pleasure, that develops the love towards that pleasure. This love instigates you to keep that thing with you and when this desire is not fulfilled somehow, then that creates unpleasantness among people. This unpleasantness produces anger and when somebody is angry, he cannot know his good and bad, it becomes dark everywhere and he can't think properly and rationally. His consciousness dies. When his consciousness dies, a human being is not a human being, he becomes animal and thus he loses his existence like space - means he becomes like a dead body. Always thinking about pleasures, he himself becomes a pleasure Swaroop. His life becomes without consciousness like trees. Neither he has the knowledge about himself, not about any other else.

This Shruti, which describes Swarg etc, does not teach people to do hard work to attain those Lok; but describes them to extrovert people to create interest in Karm for the purification of heart. As parents say sweet sentences to their children to make them drink bitter medicine; Shruti also does the same. Because the people do not know their powers therefore they take the description of Swarg as it is and wander in various Yoni including trees etc. Karm followers do not understand the real meaning of Ved and are attracted towards Swarg and considering it the final fruit and go astray. But who know the Ved, they do not interpret Shruti in this way.

Ordinary people who are intensely attached to pleasures, consider Swarg Lok their destination and thus are attracted to do Yagya etc Karm done through Agni, so they get only Dev Lok, Pitra Lok etc in the end, and they do not know their Aatm-pad, they think that they should do only Karm, so they do only Karm and they are happy with their result - satisfaction of Indriyaan. They do not know that whoever has created this world, and whoever exists in the form of this world, the same Param Aatmaa is in their heart only. If somebody cannot leave Hinsaa and its fruit "to eat meat", then he should do it through Yagya (means he should kill animal for Yagya, offer to Yagya and eat it as Prasaad). This is called to channelize one's animal instinct, but there is no Vidhi like Sandhyaa. Thus people do not understand My indirect preaching and they play only with killing animals and eating meat in the name of Yagya. They just show off that they are doing Yagya while in reality they want to kill animals and eat meat themselves. Swarg etc Lok are like the scenes in dreams. In fact they are not true. Because when people hear about them, they look nice; so to attain them they do Sa-Kaam Yagya Karm and destroy the wealth their Punya.

Uddhav Jee, Swarg etc Lok are like dream places. In fact they are A-Satya. They look good only to talk about. Sa-Kaam people, after hearing about them, intend to go there and then make efforts for that, but they waste their efforts in doing so. They worship only Devtaa with those efforts, they do not worship Me with those efforts. They are happy with thinking about the comforts of those Lok and do not want to hear about Me.

Uddhav Jee, These are the three Kaand in Ved - Karm Kaand, Upaasanaa (worshipping) Kaand and Gyaan Kaand (knowledge). All the three Kaand's central theme is "Brahm and soul are one". Even all Mantra and Mantra-knower Rishi tell this implicitly, of course not explicitly, and I also like the same [means telling implicitly; why? because everybody is not eligible for such knowledge but only he can understand it whose inner heart is purified].

Ved are called "Shabd-Brahm". Because they are My replica in idol form, that is why it is difficult to understand them their hidden meaning. This Shabd-Brahm is in the form of Paraa, Pashyantee, and Madhyamaa Vaanee in Praan, mind and Indriyaan. It has no borders and is deep like sea. To get into its bottom is very difficult. (That is why even Jaimini etc like great learned men are not able to understand it correctly.) I am full of limitless power and unending Brahm. As there is a thin thread in the lotus stem, in the same way this Ved-Vaanee appears in the heart of people in the form of Anaahat Naad. As a spider spits out web from its mouth and then swallows it itself, in the same way Bhagavaan Himself tells this Ved-Vaanee Himself to them and He Himself absorbs them. This Vaanee contains 42 Varn (from Ka to Ma - 25; from A to O - 9 Swar; sh, sh, S and H - 4 Ooshmaa; and Ya, Ra, La, Va - four Antasth) . It contains the Chhand (a kind of structure of poetry) in which four Varn are increased consecutively; and because of them they are expanded in a strange language. Some Chhand which increase by four Varn are Gaayatree, Ushnik, Anushtup, Brihatee, Pankti, Trishtup, Jagatee, Ati-chhand, Atyashti, Atijagatee and Viraat.

What does this Ved-Vanee tell you about Karm Kaand? Describes which Devtaa in Upaasanaa Kaand? And translating which beliefs provides several alternatives in Gyaan Kaand? Nobody knows all this except me. Now I tell you clearly that all Shruti tell about Me only, describe Me only in the form of Devtaa in Upaasanaa Kaand and in Gyaan Kaand, they first establish Aakaash (Space) etc things in Me and then contradict them. Later, all Shruti mean only this that they take My Aashraya and tell parts of Me and call it merely Maayaa and in the end nullifying everything get absorbed in Me. So finally remains only ME.
